Yealink Factory Reset — Phones and W60B Base

A factory reset wipes all of your personal Yealink phone settings and returns the device to its out-of-the-box defaults. Use this only as a last resort after exhausting other troubleshooting steps. Ask your phone-system administrator to back up your personalized settings (BLF keys, ringtones, contacts) before proceeding.

Reset a Yealink Desk Phone From the Phone

  1. With the phone idle, press and hold the OK key.
    • On the T57W and other touchscreen models without a physical OK button, press and hold the redial key Yealink redial key icon until the “Reset to factory setting?” prompt appears.
  2. The phone asks whether you want to reset the settings.
  3. Select OK to confirm.
  4. The screen displays “Welcome Initializing… Please wait”.

  5. Wait for the phone to finish starting up. The reset can take a few minutes — do not power off the phone until it has fully restarted.

Factory Reset the Yealink W60B Base

The same steps generally apply to Yealink W52B, W70B, and W80B bases.

From the Base Itself

  1. Power off the unit by unplugging the power cord from the back. (For PoE-powered bases, disconnect the network cable.)
  2. Wait 15 seconds.
  3. With the unit unplugged, press and hold the connect button on the base.

  6. Wait approximately 5 minutes.
  7. Reboot the unit by unplugging it from power for 15 seconds, then plugging it back in.

Factory Reset FAQ

Will I lose my speed-dial and BLF keys?

Yes — a factory reset wipes all personalization. If your phone is auto-provisioned by EMAK Telecom, most settings will return automatically once the phone re-registers, but locally configured items will need to be re-entered. See add BLF and speed-dial keys.

The phone shows “No Service” after the reset.

That is expected for a few minutes while the phone re-provisions. If it persists, see phone says No Service or contact EMAK Telecom support.

Should I factory reset before returning a phone or moving it to a new desk?

Yes. A factory reset clears credentials and personal information, which is the right step before a phone changes hands.

What is the default base PIN?

The default PIN for Yealink W-series bases is 0000. If your administrator changed it, ask them for the current PIN.

The reset prompt never appears when I long-press OK.

The phone might not be fully idle (a missed-call indicator or notification can interfere). Clear notifications and try again. On touchscreen models, make sure you are holding the redial key — not a different soft key — until the prompt appears.
