Multiple Calls on Yealink Phones

Yealink phones allow you to manage multiple calls at the same time. You can be on the phone with a caller at the same time as other users are kept on hold. You can manage multiple calls at the same time on Yealink phones.

Call Management Actions

To switch between calls on most Yealink phones, press the up and down arrow keys until you see the call you would like to manage. On touchscreen models, you can scroll through the calls using the touchscreen.

Depending on the current state of your selected call, you can perform the following actions after selecting the call you wish to manage:

  • Transfer: Transfer call to another number or extension
  • Resume: Place current call on hold and switch to selected call
  • New Call: Place current call on hold and place a second call
  • Swap: When there are only 2 calls, switch to the other caller
  • Hold: Place current call on hold
  • Conference: Initiate a conference
  • End Call: Hang up the currently selected call

Placing a Second Call

If you want to make a second call while you are on an active call:

  1. Place the active call on hold
  2. Press the New Call soft key
  3. Dial the desired number
    • Tip: You can also press a speed dial key or select a desired contact from the search result list, call history or directory.
  4. Press the OK key, or Call soft key to initiate a new call.
