How do I forward my business phone to my cell?

In the EMAK portal, go to your extension settings and select a forwarding mode (always, when busy, when unanswered, or when unreachable). Enter your cell phone number and save. Calls to your business number will forward to your mobile instantly — your personal number never shows to the caller.

Does call forwarding show my personal number?

No. When a forwarded call reaches your mobile and you call back through the EMAK app, your business caller ID displays — not your personal number. Your private number stays private.

What is the difference between call forwarding and call routing?

Call forwarding redirects calls from a single extension to another phone number (like your cell). Call routing is a broader system that directs calls across your entire VoIP phone system based on rules like time of day, caller ID, and availability. Forwarding is one tool within your overall routing strategy.

Can I forward calls to a phone outside Canada?

Yes. You can forward to any phone number — including international numbers. Standard per-minute rates apply for international destinations. Forwarding to US and Canadian numbers is included.

What are the different types of call forwarding?

EMAK supports four modes: (1) Always forward — every call goes to your forwarding number. (2) Busy forward — only when your line is active. (3) No-answer forward — after a set number of rings. (4) Unreachable forward — when your phone is offline or disconnected. Configure each independently per extension.
