Keep your number. Most transfers finish in 5 business days.
Moving your numbers costs nothing, our team runs the whole thing from start to finish, and your current line keeps ringing right up until the moment we switch it over. We move numbers off Bell, Telus, Rogers, Videotron and Cogeco — and off any internet phone provider, big or small — every single day.
Most phone providers quote two to four weeks to move a business number. With EMAK it typically takes 5 business days — and costs nothing, setup included.
Included in every plan — from $20/extension/month.

Can we move your number?
Type in the business number you want to keep. We will tell you right now.
Checked in your browser. We do not store the number you type here.
Business numbers running on EMAK today — nearly all of them moved over from another provider.
Typical time to move your numbers across. Most are finished inside a week.
Business numbers a customer owned that we have been unable to move. Not one, ever.
Three ways in. A defined process for each.
Moving from another internet phone service is not the same job as retiring old landlines, and neither is the same as rolling out brand-new desk phones. Most providers treat all three as one generic "guided setup." We don't.
Each one has its own checklist, its own order of operations, and its own testing at the end. Nobody improvises on switch day.
Two things from you. We handle the rest.
No account numbers to dig up, no PINs to hunt down, no authorization forms to decipher. Send us two things and our team takes it from there.
A two-item checklist
Other providers want your account number, your account PIN and a signed authorization form before they will even begin. We ask for your numbers and a recent bill, then deal with whatever else your old provider demands ourselves.
Whoever you are with today
Bell, Telus, Rogers, a cable company, a regional carrier, or another internet phone service you have outgrown — we move numbers off all of them, every day. Even the tangled cases, where your number passed through two or three companies before it reached you, are routine.
A time you choose
Carriers only move numbers during business hours, so we agree the window with you in advance and plan it around your quietest stretch of the day. Someone on our team is on it while it happens, and phones every number afterwards to make sure it rings where it should.
"We switched all our phone lines to EMAK. They took care of everything — the support and the customer experience were just incredible."
Start your transfer in 3 steps.
Send your numbers and a bill
Email us the list of numbers you want to keep and a bill from the last 30 days. That is everything we need to get started.
We verify and submit
We check your details against your current provider's records before submitting — a mismatch there is the single biggest cause of delays — and then handle all the back-and-forth with them for you.
We schedule your switch
We agree a window that suits your day. Your numbers move, we test every one of them, and your team keeps answering the same number throughout.
What happens after your numbers move.
Your numbers arrive on a phone system that already includes everything.
Your number is your reputation.
Moving it should be boring.
Frequently asked questions.
How long does it take to transfer a business number in Canada?
With EMAK it typically takes about 5 business days, and most are finished within a week. Other providers commonly quote two to four weeks. What slows a transfer down is almost always your current provider rejecting the request over mismatched account details, which adds a round trip — so we check your details against their records before we submit.
Will my phone stop working while my numbers move?
No. Your existing service stays live with your current provider right up to the moment we switch over. Carriers only move numbers during business hours, so we agree the window with you in advance and plan it around the quietest part of your day. Once your numbers move, someone on our team calls each one to confirm it rings properly before we consider the job done.
What does it cost to move my numbers to EMAK?
Nothing. Moving your numbers is free, and so is installation and setup. There is no transfer fee, no per-number charge and no setup charge on any plan.
What do you need from me to start?
Two things: the list of numbers you want to bring, and a copy of a bill from your current provider dated within the last 30 days. We collect anything else your old provider asks for ourselves.
Which providers can you move my numbers from?
All of them. The big Canadian carriers like Bell, Telus and Rogers, cable companies like Videotron and Cogeco, regional providers, resellers, and any internet phone service — from the largest international platforms to a local one-person operation. If you legitimately own a Canadian or U.S. business number, we have not yet come across one we could not move.
I'm already using an internet phone service. Can I still move?
Yes, and it is one of the most common moves we handle. Switching from one internet phone service to another is usually simpler than coming off a traditional line, because there is no physical wiring to retire. If you are keeping your existing desk phones we will check they can be reconfigured for EMAK — most can — and reprogram them for you.
Can I bring my toll-free numbers too?
Yes. Toll-free numbers move across alongside your local numbers as part of the same request.
Can I move only some of my numbers?
Yes. You can bring a single main line, a group of direct lines, or everything you have. Numbers you leave behind stay with your current provider, and you can move them across later.
Should I cancel my current service before the transfer?
No — and this is the most common way businesses lose a number for good. Cancelling hands the number back to your provider, and once that happens you may not be able to get it back. Keep your existing account open until we confirm the move is complete, then cancel.
