SMS Contacts

To sync your contacts to your SMS webpage from your phone, you’ll need to export your contacts from your iPhone and convert them to a CSV file. Follow these steps:

For Android:

1. Open the Contacts app.
2. Tap on the menu (three lines or dots) and select “Settings.“
3. Choose “Export” and select to export to a .vcf file.
4. Transfer the .vcf file to your computer and use an online converter to change it to a CSV file.
5. Skip to Step 3.

For iPhone:

Step 1: Sync Contacts with iCloud

1. Open Settings:
   • Tap the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
2. iCloud:
   • Tap on your name at the top to open Apple ID settings.
   • Tap on “iCloud.”
3. Enable Contacts:
   • Make sure the “Contacts” toggle is turned on to sync your contacts with iCloud.

Step 2: Export Contacts from iCloud

1. Open a Web Browser:
   • On your computer, open a web browser and go to iCloud.com.
2. Log In:
   • Log in with your Apple ID and password.
3. Open Contacts:
   • Click on “Contacts.”
4. Select All Contacts:
   • Press Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all contacts.
5. Export as vCard:
   • Click on the gear icon at the bottom left.
   • Select “Export vCard…” This will download a .vcf file containing your contacts.

Step 3: Convert vCard (.vcf) to CSV

1. Use an Online Converter:
   • Go to an online vCard to CSV converter like this one: https://www.aconvert.com/document/vcf-to-csv/
2. Upload vCard File:
   • Click on “Choose File” and select the .vcf file you downloaded from iCloud.
3. Convert to CSV:
   • Click on “Convert Now” or the equivalent button to start the conversion.
   • Download the converted CSV file.

Step 4: Importing Contacts to the SMS website via CSV

1. On the SMS Website, go to Contacts –> Click “Import” from the top right.

– Note: We provide a sample CSV that is pre-formatted for you to fill in your data. Please make sure that your CSV files match the format before uploading. Improperly formatted CSVs, will result in the entire import failing.

2. Choose the “Upload File” option or optionally paste in the content of your CSV.

– Note: If you included a header row (e.g. “Full Name, Phone, Email”) you may choose the “Skip First Line” checkbox to intentionally skip the first row of the list.

3. Click “Import Contacts“. The list will be sent to the server for processing. Depending on the list size, you should notice the contacts in your contact list within several minutes.
