How to Send a Fax Through Email

You can send a fax straight from your email — no fax machine, no fax-portal login. Address the message to the destination fax number at @emakfax.com, attach the document, hit Send, and the EMAK fax server delivers it for you.

What You Need

• A linked email address. Your sending email must be associated with a fax server in EMAK Telecom. Each email can be linked to one fax server at most. If you are not sure whether your email is linked, contact EMAK Telecom support.
• A supported attachment. The fax server accepts .pdf, .doc, and .docx files.

Step-by-Step

1. Enter the fax number in the To field.

   Type the destination’s 10-digit North American fax number (area code + 7-digit number), followed by @emakfax.com.

   • ❌ [email protected] (do not include spaces or dashes)
2. (Optional) Add a subject.

   The subject line is used as the title on the cover sheet. Leave it blank to skip the cover sheet entirely.

3. Attach your document(s).

   You must attach at least one supported file (.pdf, .doc, or .docx). Without an attachment, the fax will not send.

4. Click Send.

   Your email is converted to a fax and delivered to the destination number. Delivery confirmation typically arrives back in your inbox within a few minutes.

Tips

• Double-check the destination number before sending — fax-by-email skips the manual confirmation step you would get on a fax machine.
• Use 10 digits only — no country code, spaces, or dashes.
• Confirm your email is linked to a fax server before your first send. If your fax bounces back undelivered, that’s the most likely cause.

Check your spam/junk folder first — confirmation emails sometimes get filtered. If it really did not arrive, the email may not be linked to a fax server, or the destination may not be a working fax line. Contact EMAK Telecom support with the date, time, and destination number.

The fax-by-email feature is designed for 10-digit North American numbers. International faxing may be supported on request — contact support to discuss.

How do I check whether my email is linked to a fax server?

Send a test fax to your own number, or ask your administrator. If sends always bounce or you get a “no fax server linked” reply, your email is not linked yet.

What does the cover sheet look like?

It is a simple title page with the subject line at the top and the sending email address. If you leave the subject blank, the cover sheet is skipped and the fax is just your attachment(s).
