EMAK Telecom phones can play a handful of internet radio stations right through the handset. It’s a fun extra for listening at your desk. Just dial one of the star codes below from any EMAK Telecom phone.

Each station has a numeric star code and, where available, a mnemonic version that spells out the genre on the dial pad.

How to Stream a Station
- Pick up the handset on any EMAK Telecom phone, or use a softphone signed in to an EMAK extension.
- Dial the star code for the station you want.
- The phone will connect to the stream — hang up to stop the audio.
For personal listening only. These are public internet radio stations run by other broadcasters, not by EMAK. EMAK doesn’t hold a license to play them for your customers, so please don’t connect a phone to your store’s speakers or use a station as background music for your business. Streaming Radio FAQ
Does streaming radio cost extra?
No. Streaming the EMAK Telecom radio stations from your phone is included as part of your service. The stations use the same call infrastructure as a regular call to an extension.
Do these stations affect my voicemail or call forwarding?
No. Streaming a radio station is a regular outbound call from the phone, so it occupies the line while it is playing. Incoming calls will follow whatever no-answer or busy rules are configured on your extension. Hang up the radio call when you are expecting an inbound call.
Can I use this as music on hold?
No. The radio stations aren’t licensed to be played to your callers. For hold music, choose one of EMAK’s licensed tracks from our music on hold samples. Music on Hold: Licensing & Rights explains why they’re covered.
Can EMAK add a new genre?
We add channels based on customer demand. Email [email protected] with the genre or station you would like to see, and we will let you know if we can add it.
