Do Not Disturb (DND) on Yealink Phones

Do Not Disturb (DND) on a Yealink phone stops incoming calls from ringing your handset and sends them straight to your voicemail box. It is the right tool when you need a focused stretch of work or you do not want to be interrupted during a meeting. DND applies to every line on your phone.

Turn On DND From the Phone

Press the DND soft key at the bottom of your Yealink phone screen to enable DND.

When DND is on, the DND icon at the top of the display shows a red indicator. Press the DND soft key again to turn it back off.

Turn DND On or Off Without the Soft Key

If the DND soft key has been removed from your phone (often because of frequent accidental presses), you can still toggle DND from any EMAK Telecom phone with star codes:

  • Dial *78 to enable DND.
  • Dial *79 to disable DND.

You can also view and toggle DND from the EMAK Telecom phone portal.

Yealink DND FAQ

What happens to callers when my phone is on DND?

Callers go directly to your voicemail box without ringing your phone first. They hear your voicemail greeting and can leave a message just like any other unanswered call.

Why does the DND soft key not appear on my phone?

The DND soft key is sometimes removed from a phone’s layout because the user kept pressing it accidentally and missing calls. You can still toggle DND with *78 / *79 or from the phone portal. To get the soft key back, contact EMAK Telecom support.

Does DND apply to just one line or all of them?

DND applies to every line registered on your phone. If you only want to silence one line and keep another active, talk to EMAK Telecom support — we can configure per-line behaviour for your account.

Can I tell whether DND is on at a glance?

Yes. When DND is enabled, a red indicator (or a [DND] label on some firmware versions) appears at the top of the Yealink display, so you can see at a glance whether your phone will ring.
