What is CNAM?
CNAM stands for Caller Name. It's the database that phone carriers use to match a phone number to a display name. When your business name is registered in CNAM, anyone you call sees your company name instead of just a phone number. EMAK handles CNAM registration automatically for all your VoIP business numbers.
Why does my caller ID show a number instead of my business name?
This usually means your number hasn't been registered in the CNAM database, or the registration hasn't propagated to all carriers yet. With EMAK, CNAM registration is automatic, but it can take a few days to appear on all carrier networks across Canada. If the issue persists, EMAK support can check your registration status.
