The phone system built for dental clinics.
Every patient call answered: by your front desk first, then by the AI receptionist of your choice. Texting, fax and paging on one system. Data stored in Canada, no contract.
Dental clinics in Quebec that answer their patients on EMAK.
Average wait to reach a real person at support. Dial *611 from any clinic phone.
Contracts, in ten years. Clinics stay because they want to.
Your front desk first. Your AI receptionist the moment they are busy.
Connect Claio, Doc Clik or any AI agent you prefer. Claio and Doc Clik book appointments, answer questions and take messages in French and English, so no patient reaches voicemail.
- You choose when it answers: when every line is busy, after hours, or all the time.
- It hands calls back to your team, with no second number and no dead air.
- Every call is recorded and transcribed, the AI part and your team's alike.
One phone system instead of four providers.
Most clinics juggle a phone company, a separate AI app, a fax service and someone for the paging speakers. Here is what it looks like on EMAK.
| Feature | EMAK | The usual patchwork |
|---|---|---|
| Phones for every desk, room and cell | ✓ | Phone company |
| AI receptionist on overflow or after hours | ✓ | Separate AI app, second number |
| AI passes calls back to your team | ✓ | Depends on the app |
| Automatic text after a missed call | ✓ | Another subscription |
| Two-way texting from the clinic number | ✓ | Another subscription |
| Fax by email and fax machine | ✓ | Fax service |
| Waiting-room paging and Sonos | ✓ | Installer |
| Recordings and transcripts for AI and team calls | ✓ | ✕ |
| Data stored in Canada | ✓ | Varies by provider |
| A local person answers support in seconds | ✓ | Usually a call-centre queue |
| Contract | None, ever | Often 1 to 3 years |
Everything else a dental front desk needs.
Text patients from the clinic number
Missed calls get an automatic text. Confirm appointments and answer questions from the number patients know, never a personal cell.
Fax without the fax headaches
Send and receive by email, or keep your fax machine. A login per person, and you choose how long faxes are kept.
Call patients from the waiting room
Page the waiting room or treatment rooms from any phone, through overhead speakers (mostly Algo) or Sonos.
Know which patient is calling before you pick up.
Rolling out now: when a patient calls, their Dentitek file appears in the EMAK web app as the call comes in, so your front desk knows who is calling. We set it up with each clinic.
Your patients' voicemails, faxes and recordings stay in Canada.
Your privacy officer needs to know where patient voicemails, faxes and recordings live, and who can see them. Here is the short version.
- Stored in Canada, in data centres in Quebec and Ontario.
- Never used to train AI.
- Every access logged: who opened a fax or recording, when, and from where.
- Your rules: a login per person, your access and retention settings.
- Incidents: we investigate and tell you directly.
- Easy exit: no contract, your numbers come with you.

No contract. Not now, not ever.
For ten years we have kept clinics by earning it every month. If we ever stop, you can leave the same day, with your numbers.
Switching your clinic takes three steps.
Tell us how your clinic works
Your numbers, your front-desk team, your fax and paging, and when you want the AI to answer. Send a recent phone bill and we take it from there.
We set everything up first
Phones, greetings in both languages, the AI receptionist, fax and paging are ready and tested before switch day. Moving your numbers is free.
Switch day, without the stress
We pick the quietest moment in your day, test every number, and stay on hand. After that, *611 reaches us in seconds.
The rest of your clinic's phone system.
Every feature is included, on every plan.
More for dental clinics.
Dental clinic phone systems: your questions.
What is the best phone system for a dental clinic in Quebec?
Look for five things: every call answered (by your team first, then an AI receptionist when the front desk is busy), texting from the clinic number, secure fax, patient data kept in Canada, and support in French from people who pick up. EMAK does all of it on one system, with no contract. More than 300 dental clinics in Quebec already use it.
Does EMAK work with Dentitek?
We are rolling out our Dentitek integration with dental clinics now: when a patient calls, their file opens on the front-desk screen. We build it with each clinic as they come on board, so tell us what your team needs and we will set it up with you.
Can an AI receptionist answer our calls?
Yes. EMAK connects directly to AI receptionists such as Claio and Doc Clik, or to any other AI agent you prefer. You decide when it answers: only when your front desk is busy, only after hours, or all the time.
What happens when the AI needs to pass a call to our team?
The AI transfers the call straight to your front desk, like a colleague would. Because the AI is built into the phone system, there is no second number and no dead air. Both parts of the call, the AI one and your team's, are recorded and transcribed so you can review them later.
Can we see how the AI and our team are handling calls?
Yes. Calls handled by the AI and calls handled by your team are recorded, transcribed and reported side by side, so you can see how each is doing and adjust.
What happens when we miss a call?
The patient automatically gets a text from your clinic number, so they can tell you what they need instead of calling the next clinic. Your team replies from the same number.
Can we text patients from the clinic number?
Yes. Two-way texting from your clinic number is included: confirm appointments, answer questions and follow up, without anyone using a personal cell phone.
Where is our patient data stored?
In Canada. Our databases run on servers we manage ourselves in Beauharnois, Quebec. Call recordings, voicemails, transcripts and faxes are stored in Canadian data centres in Quebec and Ontario.
Can we still send and receive faxes?
Yes, both from a computer and with a physical fax machine. Send faxes from email and receive them by email, give each person their own login, control who sees what, and set how long faxes are kept.
Can we page the waiting room or treatment rooms?
Yes. EMAK works with overhead paging speakers (we mostly install Algo) and connects directly to Sonos, so the front desk can call the next patient from any phone.
Do you use our patient calls to train AI?
No. We do not use your calls, voicemails, faxes or transcripts to train AI models.
Can we see who listened to a recording or opened a fax?
Yes. Every time someone opens a fax or plays or downloads a recording, we log who it was, when, from which IP address, and whether they viewed or downloaded it.
How much does a phone system cost for a dental clinic?
The same as for every EMAK customer: the plans on our pricing page, with every feature included on every plan. There is no dental surcharge, no setup contract and nothing hidden.
Does EMAK work for orthodontists, denturists and dental hygienists?
Yes. Along with general dental clinics, we work with orthodontists, periodontists, denturists and dental hygiene clinics across Quebec. The setup is the same: your team answers first, and the tools adapt to how your office runs.
Is EMAK SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Instead, we answer your privacy officer's questions in writing: where each type of data is stored, who can access it, how long it is kept and what happens when you leave.
Is there a contract?
No. There has never been a contract at EMAK, in ten years. We would rather keep clinics because they are happy than because they are locked in.
How do we reach support?
Dial *611 from any clinic phone and a person on our local team answers, usually within seconds. Last year the average wait was 31 seconds, in French or in English.
Can we keep our clinic phone numbers?
Yes. Moving your numbers to EMAK is free and usually takes about five business days. Your current line keeps ringing until the moment we switch it over.
