What is call pickup?
Call pickup lets you answer a call ringing on another extension from your own phone. Press a pickup button or dial a feature code, and the call transfers to you. It is a standard feature on EMAK's VoIP business phone system.
What is call intercept?
Call intercept is a targeted version of call pickup. Instead of grabbing any ringing call in your group, you specify the exact extension you want to answer — useful when multiple phones are ringing and you need a specific one.
How does call pickup work across offices?
EMAK's call pickup works across all locations connected to your VoIP system. If an extension in your pickup group is ringing at another office, you can grab it from your desk — no matter where you are physically located.
What is the difference between call pickup and a ring group?
A ring group rings multiple phones simultaneously for every incoming call. Call pickup lets you grab a specific call that's already ringing on someone else's phone. Ring groups distribute; pickup rescues.
