How to Use a Headset on Yealink Phones
To get started, first connect your headset to the Yealink phone following the instructions on your headset’s manual. See the table below for support guides.

Activate Headset Mode
Press the HEADSET key on your phone, the headset icon will display on the screen when activated. On some models, the headset key will illuminate.
All calls will now automatically be answered on your connected headset.
Deactivating Headset Mode
Press the HEADSET key on your phone and the headset mode will be deactivated. On some models, the headset key will switch off.
This will allow you to answer calls using the handset.
Answering Calls from your Headset
If your headset is connected via USB or Bluetooth, you will be able to answer calls by pressing a button on your headset. Please follow the instructions in your headset’s manual to learn how to answer and end calls from your headset.
If your headset is connected via an RJ11 phone plug, you will need either an EHS36 (Yealink T4 series phones) or EHS40 (Yealink T5 series phones) headset adapter to allow you to control calls from your headset.
